    PROTARAS WEATHER

Few words

Golden sands and a buzzing day life and an even more frantic night life is the name of the game due to the many restaurants, bars, discos and cafes close by. The bay is named after the solitary fig tree which stands at the headland of the beach and has overlooked the bay ever since its arrival with eastern invaders in the 17th century. Fig-tree bay is Protaras’ coastal jewel in the crown. Its crystal clear waters and fine-grained, golden sand has made the beach very popular and is why it features today on Trip Advisor as among the best beaches in Europe. It has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for its outstanding water quality and public facilities and it is a Green Beach under the eco-initiative “Green Cyprus Beaches”.

Louma Beach

Found close to the main avenue in Protaras and the Pernara resort, Louma beach is a real pleasure to be on due to its soft fine sand and the surrounding constructed bay.

Vrisi Beach I

At the peak of the summer this lovely beach is buzzing with people. Crystal clear blue waters are shallow and you can see the seabed with its gorgeous fine white sand which visitors love to lay and walk on.

Kapparis Beach

Found near the Kapparis resort and very close to the main strip in Protaras, this beach is a small sandy beach with clear waters popular with tourists and locals alike. It is only an hour’s drive from Larnaca International Airport

Vrysoudia Beach

Vrysoudia lies in a very small cove about halfway between the beaches of Louma and Ayia Trias. The beach is dominated by the Crystal Springs beach hotel complex and, unlike most Protaras beaches, Vrysoudia is mostly pebble and stone, although there is some sand.

Agia Triada Beach

Agia Triada beach is a truly lovely place to be. Apart from the beautiful beach, there is a fishing harbor and a small humble chapel, just the place to find peace and wind down. Sun loungers are available.

Pernera Beach

Pernera beach is a small coastal resort about one kilometer from 3 small secluded beaches, ideal for those who would rather give the hectic Protaras and Agia Napa tourist resorts a miss.

Skoutari Beach

A small beach close to the Kapparis resort, it is very close to the main strip of Protaras. It is ideal for relaxation in a peaceful environment.

Green Bay

Green Bay is the perfect beach for beginner divers and is located in Protaras. Here many learners come to begin their diving courses as the waters are most suitable. The waters begin shallow and slowly deepen therefore there is much to see including, Wrasse, Bream, Cuttle Fish, Pipefish and the occasional Octopus.

Sirena Beach
