The crystal clear waters in this bay in the Akamas Peninsula enable you to see the sea bed. Access is by boat where you can take a dip in to the cool water and go swimming or snorkeling or just lay on the surface taking in the beautiful scenery.
Also situated in the last wilderness spot in Cyprus, in the Akamas Peninsula, Lara Bay is the nesting ground of the Green Back Turtle. Soft sand is in abundance in a bay that has the shape of a horseshoe.
Argaka is located between the sea and a pine forest. While Lower Argaka stands next to the sea, Upper Argaka stands upon the slope with an excellent view towards the sea. The east part of the village has officially been deemed as a region of excellent natural beauty. Just a few kilometres further west is the small town of Polis & Latchi Latchi with its attractive harbour and well known restaurants serving a wide choice of food including many varieties of freshly caught fish. There is a water sports centre and boat hire.
CORAL BAY BEACH
This beach is the highest rating beach on the western side of Cyprus. Golden sands, lovely coves, calm shallow waters in a splendid curved stretch of shore, offers the best opportunity both for relaxation and exploration. You will also be close to the nesting place of the island’s turtles.
BATHS OF APHRODITE BEACH
Relatively cut off and small it is not a well known beach. To get to it you need to park at the Baths of Aphrodite public parking lot and cross the road to get to the hill which you climb down either to the left or the right in order to reach the sand. A fish restaurant sits directly above the beach.
Found in Pegeia Laourou beach is accessible by all modes of transport. With accommodation facilities close by and water sports on offer it offers fun, relaxation and protection- lifeguards are present between 11am and 5.30pm during the swimming season.
PAPHOS MUNICIPAL BEACH
The most popular with the local Cypriots this beach lies in the heart of Kato Paphos which is the main tourist area of the city of Paphos. It is just 900 feet from Paphos Castle and just off the main Poseidonos Road. Due to the beach’s location it is close to everything you could possibly need and desire.
PETRA TOU ROMIOU BEACH
It is said that the mythical Greek goddess of love Aphrodite was born here. A magnificent beach encompassed by large rocks and luscious sand it is often a place where artists and poets come to draw inspiration. Two large rocks- a landmark in Cyprus, are called Petra tou Romiou in Greek (translated in to English it means ‘Rock of the Greek’). The rock is said to have been hurled by Digenis Akritas powerful Byzantine warrior in an attempt to prevent a raid of the island by Arab pirates. The beach is named after these rocks and is perfect for leisurely walks and being alone. It is also an ideal place for honeymooners.

Located very near the Latchi fishing harbor in the Polis area of Paphos, this beach has a mountain backdrop for beautiful picturesque scenery. With a gorgeous pebble beach and crystal clear waters it is an invitation waiting to be accepted.
POLIS MUNICIPAL BEACH
It is actually a long continuous beach that stretches from the Akamas Peninsula to the Pomos area. With sun beds and umbrellas for sunbathing in a common part of the beach but also more isolated parts of the Chrysochous bay there is something for everyone.
PACYAMMOS 1 BEACH
Also situated in Kato Paphos it has everything the Paphos Municipal Beach has to offer. Locals often refer to this beach as the SODAP beach (named thus after a famous Cypriot wine company
PACHYAMMOS VILLAGE BEACH
This petite relaxing beach lies in front of the humble Pomos fishing harbor with its traditional fishing boats. It is remote and offers the opportunity for tranquility and for those who do not particularly desire the presence of many people. Enjoy the fresh fish of the day in the taverns close by.
Faros beach, in the west of Paphos, is a sandy beach with a high quality of water due to the many frequent tests conducted. Accommodation facilities are close by, and you can access the beach easily and it is clearly marked. Here you can also find a beach volleyball court.
The Dasoudi beach is situated in Polis Chrysochous in the Paphos region. It is also has a camping site on a sandy beach which is accessible by all types of transport. You can hire sun beds and try the water sports on offer here.
GEROSKIPOU MUNICIPAL BEACH
This beach is also easily accessible to all modes of transport. It is a lovely sandy beach which offers water sports and sunbathing facilities. You can find accommodation just a stone’s throw away and you can have the reassurance of lifeguards on duty between 10am and 5pm during the swimming season.
LA PLAYA BEACH
La Playia Beach lies in Geroskipou. The La Playia Beach Bar hosts some of the biggest summer music festivities in the wider area of Paphos.
Pachyammos bay lies in the Pafos tourist area in front of the many hotels there. It is a narrow beach accessible to all types of transport and clearly signposted. You can find everything nearby in terms of entertainment, cuisine, refreshments and souvenir shopping. Quality checks on the water are frequently carried out to ensure top quality standards.
